Jason Robertson scored a very important goal with only 22 seconds left in the second period during the Dallas Stars’ game against Arizona Coyotes and the Stars won 5-2! This was Robertson’s 42nd goal of the season and he now has 95 points, which breaks Mike Modano’s record for most season points that he had in 1992-93. After the match, Modano gave a special speech to John’s team.

Coach Pete DeBoer from Dallas said that it is really amazing if someone breaks the records of a legendary player like Mike Modano. He also added that this kind of achievement won’t be forgotten and your grandkids will love to hear about it one day!

Joe Pavelski, Roope Hintz, Jamie Benn and Max Domi all scored points for the Dallas team in their four-game season series. The Dallas team was way better than the Coyotes, since they managed to score 20 points compared to only 6 from the Coyotes. Five minutes into the third period, Benn managed to make a power play goal, which marked his 32nd point overall and gave his team a 4-2 lead. Lastly, Max Domi scored an empty-net goal with 1:01 remaining.

The Dallas Stars hockey team (41-20-14) is just behind Minnesota and one point ahead of the Colorado Avalanche for the lead in the Central Division. On Saturday, they will face off against the defending Stanley Cup champions, Colorado Avalanche in Denver. Colorado has one game more than both teams.

Goaltender Jake Oettinger of the Dallas Stars said they will use the Stanley Cup Champions as their marker, and that it’ll be an awesome opportunity to play within a great arena against great opponents. He says everyone’s really looking forward to it.

Also, Jason Robertson gave them a 3-2 lead after taking a pass at the blue line. He moved down the ice and shot from the middle with perfect accuracy into a small opening.

Robertson explained that he wasn’t sure he could get past the defenders, so he tried shooting and luckily it went in. His coach commented that Robertson has a special ability to score goals from far away, which was a big help for their team since they haven’t been winning recently. Arizona also scored two more goals from Valimaki and Mackey, while the goalie Vejmelka saved 26 shots. Unfortunately, the Coyotes lost six games in a row.

Clayton Keller helped Valimaki score a goal, making it their longest streak since the team moved from Winnipeg in 1996. He is now tied with Elias Pettersson from Vancouver for the longest streak of points earned within the NHL.

The coach, Andre Tourigny said they didn’t play with enough energy today.

Pavelski scored his 23rd goal 1 minute and 23 seconds into the game. Esa Lindell passed the ball and it bounced off Pavelski while he was being checked by another player right near the net.

Valimaki scored during a special play in the first five minutes of the game, and Mackey scored shortly afterwards to give the Coyotes a 2-1 lead. Hintz scored his 34th goal of the season only 53 seconds into the second period by shooting a wrist shot from the right circle, tying it up again at 2-2.

“We did well! We were a bit shaky at first but we worked hard to make sure that we win the game,” deBoer said.

Keller made history by getting 24 points in March – this is the highest number of points ever achieved by any player in the Coyotes franchise’s (which used to be called Winnipeg). Teemu Selanne is still the record holder with 27 points earned during January and March in 1993.

The Stars loaned their goalie, Scott Wedgewood, to the American Hockey League’s Texas team on Friday. The Coyotes had given them Wedgewood last March in exchange for a 2023 third-round draft pick. Vejmelka played his 100th NHL game on this day too. Laurent Dauphin, another Coyotes player, was not feeling well and so he couldn’t play for the fourth game in a row but it is likely that he will come back in the next game. Victor Soderstrom smashed Hintz into the boards which resulted in giving him an injury and a cut on his left cheek. As a result of this, he had to leave the field and have stitches put onto him according to DeBoer.

This weekend, the Colorado Stars will be competing on Saturday night. At the same time, the San Jose Coyotes will also play host and face off against each other on Saturday evening.
